Welcome to

the heart company

beyond the power of love

Good families -even great families- are off track 90% of the time! The key is that they have a sense of destination. They know what the “plan” looks like. And they keep coming back to it time and time again.

It’s like the flight of an airplane. Before the plane takes off, the pilots have a flight plan. They know exactly where they’re going and start off in accordance with their plan. But during the course of the flight, wind, rain, turbulence, air traffic, human error, and other factors act upon that plane. They move it slightly in different directions so that most of the time that plane is not even on the prescribed flight path! Throughout the entire trip there are slight deviations from the flight plan.

The hope lies not in the deviations but in the vision, the plan, and the ability to get back on track. The flight of that airplane is an ideal metaphor for family life. With regard to families, it doesn’t make any difference if they’re off target or even if the family are a mess. The hope lies in the vision and in the plan and in the courage to keep coming back time and time again.

The Heart Company has a vision of a supportive structure for parents.

We know how hard parenting can be sometimes!

What if instead of worrying about whether we should give kids gold starts for participating or gold stars for being the best, we involve kids in real world activities where the end result of the activity itself is the reward…Our society has lost sight of what’s truly important in life. It’s time to find it again.

We must first teach a child they are loved,
only then are they ready to learn everything else

  • self-esteem

I’d build self-esteem first and the house later

  • finger paint

I’d finger paint more and point the finger less

  • watch with my eyes

I’d take my eyes off my watch and watch with my eyes

  • hikes and kites

I’d take more hikes and fly more kites

  • gaze at stars

I would run through more fields and gaze at more stars

  • connecting

I would do less correcting and more connecting

  • seriously play

I’d stop playing serious and seriously play

  • hugging

I’d do more hugging and less tugging

  • care more

I would care to know less and know to care more

  • affirm more

I would be firm less often and affirm much more

  • model less

I’d model less about the love of power

  • power of love

And more about the power of love

Tiny Hearts

Tiny Hearts is a proud project of The Heart Company!

We have a passion for parents and children!

Out of life and practice experience we know how many times parents feel they have failed and wish they had someone to guide and praise them.

Out of life and practice experience we have dried the tears of many mothers who asked: “why didn’t anybody teach me this before?”

In short: TINY HEARTS has the manual every parent wishes they child came with!
